How to reach the Pulkovo observatory

If you arrive by train.

  1. If your train comes to the "Finlyandskiy", "Moskovskiy" or "Vitebskiy" railway stations, you should enter the metro, follow to "Technologicheskiy Institute" metro station, take an opposite train there (across the platform) and follow to "Moskovskaya" metro station.

    If your train comes to the "Baltiyskiy" railway stations, you should enter the metro, follow to "Technologicheskiy Institute" metro station, pass through passage to another metro station and take there a train to "Moskovskaya" metro station.

    If your train arrives to the "Ladozhskiy" railway station, you should enter the metro, follow to the "Spasskaya" metro station, pass from it to the "Sennaya" metro station and take there a train to "Moskovskaya" metro station.

    Fare for the metro is 20 rubles.

  2. Then, you should leave "Moskovskaya" metro station through the exit, which leads to the direction of Pobedy square and Pulkovo Airport (forward to a head of the metro train, which you arrived by). The exit leads into the underpass under the Moskovskiy prospect. You should pass this passage to its end and leave it through the left upstairs -- then you should be at the ground-based transport stop you need.

    The city buses of No. 55, 90, 150, 155, 431 and the commercial buses of No. 403, 449 go from this stop to the Pulkovo observatory. Fare is 16-25 rubles.

If you arrive by airplane. (The distance between airports and Pulkovo observatory is about 5 km.)

  1. If your airplane arrives to the domestic lines airport (Pulkovo 1), you should take the bus of No. 39 or K-39 and arrive to "Airport Platform" stop.

    If your airplane arrives to the international airport (Pulkovo 2), you should take the city bus of No. 13 or commercial buses of No. K-13, 213 and arrive to "Airport Platform" stop.

    Fare is 18-30 rubles.

  2. There, you should leave the bus and go to the opposite side of the road through the overground passage to the transport stop of opposite direction. The city buses of No. 55, 90, 150, 155, 431 and the commercial buses of No. 403, 449 go from this stop to the Pulkovo observatory. Fare is 16-25 rubles.
After arriving to the "Pulkovo observatory" stop, you should leave the bus and enter the gates of observatory. The green building with the white pillars situated opposite the gates is the hotel of observatory.
